#poll@mayintoronto A pie should have crust over the top. So traditional pumpkin pies are also not pies.

@mayintoronto Like I said a few hours/days ago, pizzas are just unfolded tacos. And yes, I know about huarache.
Or, like a friend of mine used to say, "everything is the same, the difference is how it's folded."

No, the filling is heated separate from the shell. More of a sandwich or hotdog situation.

No, the filling is heated separate from the shell. More of a sandwich or hotdog situation.
@KanaMauna some pies, you have to cook the shell separately. Think coconut cream pie. Is it that different?

@mayintoronto if you consider handpies, ie. Street foods with a pastry exterior and typically a savory meaty interior that is handheld in size, it's foolish not to think a taco is a pie, especially considering a taco is also a street food.
