Are you changing your travel plans for November because of the US government shutdown?

@evan yes but not intentionally
Instead of going back to Chicago tonight Iβm kinda stranded in Toronto for the night
-
@evan Traveling to an event in Atlanta this weekend, I'm still going, but trying to put in place contingencies.

@countablenewt yowza! What's the plan?
-
@evan I can't picture myself going to the US anytime soon.
-
No, butβ¦Iβm completely avoiding any travel to the US for any reason. Donβt want to even enter the US on a layover. But the government shutdown isnβt the issue for me. Itβs the fascism Iβm trying to avoid.
-
@evan Iβm not travelling anywhere in November, and even if I was, it wouldn't be to the US. I'm even planning ways to travel places that explicitly avoid any layovers in the US. Itβs strictly a no-go zone as far as I'm concerned

@evan never, but never had plans to visit the US. So no change in plans.
-
@evan I guess itβs a very North-America centered poll.
So Iβve added a No, from Belgium.

@evan @mayintoronto have not been to the US since 2016 for β¦ reasons. π©

@evan Iβm just so glad I got out with my family before they started cancelling flights.

I'm a Yes; I took the train instead of going to SeaTac today.
