Currently researching how to say long-tailed in Cherokee. It’s likely some combination of ganvhida (long) and gadoga (tail). We have digalenvhida meaning long-eared. Ear is galeni.

@amandamakepeace Wow, love long tails. We saw a pair of hooded mergansers this morning, and one dive down and come up with a small perch.
