@Dunpiteog e anche è una leggenda il fatto che la carne bovina abbia un maggior valore nutritivo: non conosco i dati ma credo che quella suina o ovina non sia da meno (poi vabbe' da quasi vegetariano ormai la carne è fuori dalle mie consuetudini per cui anche per quanto riguarda il gusto non saprei più dire quale è più buona)

Sto guardando una serie super easy sulla storia del cibo in una famiglia e mi ha fatto realizzare una cosa che non avevo focalizzato prima.
I Bovini sono usati per il consumo di carne solo in tempi recenti: prima si usavano per la produzione di latte e come animali da lavoro.
Evidentemente la meccanizzazione ha impattato sia sulla maggiore resa del suolo (che quindi può essere messo a produzione del cibo per i bovini) sia con l'avvenuta inutilità degli allevamenti dei bovini stessi.
