Petition to ban male hotel room designers.
@Gina I know a hotel where they apparently forgot to add a toilet during the design phase, so they added it later - in the middle of the room

@Gina Pretty sure this was just build without any designs/plans.
-
Straight to jail (this is a 4 star hotel room btw).
@Gina I give the hotel star rating system one star ⭐️
(It is just a checklist of available amenities, not a quality or even cleanliness standard!)

@Gina 230v in the bathroom 😳

@Gina It's clear that people who design hotels have never stayed a night in one. The people running the hotel are often not much better. "You want us to send up someone to clean the bathroom?" "No, I want you to fix it so it doesn't flood everytime I shower".
-
@egonw omg the transparant doors or walls to the bathroom!!! Straight to the gulags 😤
@egonw @Gina
Back in the day (in the *cough* 90s *cough*) a small German hotel chain had all-glass shower cabins as a bulge from the bathroom into the middle of the room (like some elevator cabin, but round). They were spectacular and incredibly futuristic. And I guess these are the keywords here... -
Also for some reason there's a bathroom radiator in the room 😂 Zero esthetic, but at least it's toasty so I'll forgive them this crime.
It would never be considered a 4 star hotel here.

@daltux it shouldn't be here either. I take it they have some amenities somewhere, but I've stayed in nicer rooms in hostels.

@Gina
In Ireland? Judging by the 230v shaver socket and assuming you didn't stop in Brexit land on the way. -

@Gina
It wasn't designed with disability in mind either. No hand rails, no hand held shower head, and I'll bet there's a step into that shower. -

@Gina ditto male kitchen designers. Most of them clearly don't cook and see their job as selling as many units as possible. So many kitchens with tonnes of storage and little useful worktop space to prepare food.
