@Gina US Big Tech owning and controlling all of our essential infrastructure, what could possibly go wrong?!
When I was a clerical assistant in the 2000s even our little office for environmental health had a better sense of information & data security, as well as disaster recovery, all using on-prem and Colo hardware where they had complete control over everything.
'Big Cloud' has been a disaster waiting to happen for critical services for years and the US data centres popping up everywhere...

@Gina no. But it seems to have spread. “Statens IT” is a centralised IT service for state departments.
The out of control license fees and data sovereignty seems to be the kickers.
