The short version is that they seem to have overextended themselves, ran out of money and went bust. In doing so they left their cooperatives with unfinished accounts and a whole lot of sorting out to do.

It's all a bit of a mess but the turbines are still spinning, electricity is being sold and hopefully some time in the next 6-12 months we might actually know when the members will next get paid.

Thank you! I'm sure the co-op will work everything out, it's just a matter of time and effort.

I've also got a slice of UKWIND shares in my SSISA as a more conventional way to support /benefit from wind energy.

@Edent Be aware that both its diel and yearly profile of output is more less reversed in comparison to solar. You would get most of wind energy at evenings, nights and mornings, and in the cold months in the year scale.

Ahhh! You were quoting the "Terence Edens Blog" account! Which I put on mute a long time ago since it posts sometimes very long blog posts into the feed (and the app doesn't deal well with that).

And since you link to your blog posts in your regular account anyway I forgot that I ever even did that.

I removed the mute and now it works perfectly.

@jannem @mike @Edent I think that the message «Post unabailable» from Mastodon is a bit confusing when the post actually is muted.

Maybe it might look a litt better when Mastodon 4.5 is released but I haven't tested this on mastodon.social.

@jannem @mike @Edent Ideally long wordpress posts should have been in the format Article instead Note etc., but it seems handling of that kind of post is a bit buggy in Mastodon for the moment.

Yes, the permissions error threw me off. Ideally it should take the reason into account and say something like "You have muted/blocked/filtered this user/topic."

But I'm sure that will come over time. Same with putting long posts under a fold in the app (the web already does).
