Went to the lake coast and found all these red rocks that sound like ceramic when you walk over them. This combined with the gentle lake water lapping and scuttling the pebbles makes for a really interesting soundscape

The way these rocks break look very cool. I wish I knew anything about geology. Looking at all these compressed layers of rocks is weirdly powerful and terrifying

This lake water is so unsettling tho. Why is it so quiet. What the hell. As someone who grew up near the sea, this will never not be disturbing

Hiked down a different cliff face to find the Tosakai Iwa (Cockscomb Rock)

Hiked all the way back to the temple and found there's a little craft fair event thing going on

There are lots of kids so I don't wanna be weird and take pictures, but there is a stand full of kendama and yoyos that you can try out, and a very friendly niichan teaching folks how to play

Talking to the kendama niichan who said he is gonna appear with Miyama Hiroshi at Kōhaku 👀 He doesn't know what number he's gonna be yet so we just gotta keep an eye out for him lmao
