I need to do some lifecycle management on my #gotosocial instance.
It is running on an Asus VivoPC with a dual core 2957U Celeron processor, and that's fine.
However disk access is extremely slow, so I am swapping the mechanical HDD @ 5400 RPM with an SSD, and increasing RAM a little bit. It is not needed for GtS, but for me to browse and use the PC for other tasks.
So I'll be going missing in a few hours until let's say tomorrow morning (CEST).
I'll be using my spare account @77nn

Back on track with a flawless upgrade:
Hardware (new SSD in place of an HDD)
OS (Debian Trixie in place of Mint)
GtS (last stable release)

@las_lallero Che palle. Io mi ricordo quando l’Eurovision era solo musica e niente politica. Io continuerò a vederlo perché sono un grande fan del format. Ma effettivamente così come hanno rimosso la Russia (grande peccato perché a livello musicale tirava fuori delle perle bellissime) dovrebbero rimuovere Israele…

But I also think people are concerned about bots that aren't friendly or compliant -- for example, "dark" LLM training bots that ignore robots.txt and other signals. I don't think that arguing or signalling helps in those cases. Having a private account and posting followers-only does, though.
