(we made a strategic stop at a macdo in kingston that has a good kid play structure)

the plan is to goof around with a friend of ours, and then

tomorrow morning i will get up at 6am and go attend a leg of a 24hr dance party. maybe try to dance from 7am to 5pm that sort of thing

a friend of mine helps run a new nightclub in the city, and once a month they throw those 24hr parties from 10pm saturday to 10pm sunday

and we anchored our trip around this party and

i could really use a good dance fill my head with sounds so it can get cleared of noise.

that was an incredibly good party. it’s funny to me that i now know scene regulars in two cities

i got there for 8:30am and left at 5:30pm. i had dinner with my partner and kids, and then i went back for another 90min.

i had an amazing time. really worked thru some feelings i’ve been having. a breath of fresh air

@phillmv this sounds great! I'm glad you had such a good time. And, yes, Montreal is uphill both ways in winter; everything is really hard. But it does making getting to where you're going, like a bar or a friend's house, feel like finding a haven. And everyone there is a fellow adventurer.
