Hey 👋. A quick question to #mastodon.

Suppose an user with an username @<un>@<site> deleted their account.

Now what would happen to that username 🤔 ? Will it be available to other users to claim on that @<site> after a period of time. Or will it be gone forever?

Another related question. What would happen to the usernames of idle accounts (accounts not in any use for a period of time) ?

@saliaku @javalps if the account is deleted, it is gone and cannot be reused. "Idle" accounts are not deleted automatically.
