OK, Alone is fantastic.

Oh, it's gonna be Sam.
"After high school, Sam travelled to northern Maine to study bushcraft at the Jack Mountain Bushcraft School...Sam had the urge to experience a new environment, so he sold his Jeep to purchase a plane ticket to Arizona where he lived under an Army poncho and learned from one of his bushcraft mentors. The following year Sam traveled to New Mexico where he traversed the Gila Wilderness alone, with only minimal gear and a handful of granola." https://www.history.com/shows/alone/cast/sam-larson

@shanecelis I'm loving this show. I am extremely picky about reality TV and I hate most of it, but this is gold.

This is the kind of guy I thought all of these dudes were, at the beginning, but it's clear most of them have never actually been to a wild place.
I think Alan could live out there as long as he wants to, but he's going stir crazy by himself.
Sam seems to be better suited to being alone, but he's trying and failing to trap mice, which seems like desperation. Things are going pretty bad when you're sad about not catching mice to eat.

Day 32. Four guys still left. Things are looking up. Not for Sam, he's excited about catching one (1) tiny mouse, but maybe somebody will get a decent run.

He's also cooking and eating his tiny mouse in his sleeping shelter. Sam is not ready for this at 22. Alan at 40-something has a significant experience advantage.

Lucas just can't stop doing projects (this is boatman, I'm pretty sure?).
He's starving and decided to move camp. Editor is committing savagery again. Just as Lucas said, "Indigenous people around here lived down by the sea" this caption appeared.

Lucas is sleeping outside without shelter as winter hits, because he wanted to build a yurt in one day? This man does not think through his decisions.
Meanwhile, Alan's still doing fine.

Lucas just cannot stop doing projects. It seems like he stayed up all night to build a guitar type thing?

And, Lucas is out. He made it longer than I expected.

Mitch is all, "when you've been out here for so long, it changes you". It has been 42 days, Mitch. Not even two months.

Yep. That's how it was always going to go. I knew it when he was the only one who made a shelter just for preparing food. The right guy won.

"So soon? I was working up a spring garden." King shit.

Doubt. (Except for Alan and Sam.)
