but right now we live in a time where you point at the nazi, and everyone watches them do some nazi shit, and then they just go back to giving them money.
calling a spade a spade is no longer enough to make changes happen.

I've heard of some successful deradicalization strategies, but they all seem unreliable and unscalable and require the patience of a saint. Basically, you have to invest months or years into earning their trust, withholding judgment even when they do or say the most ludicrous nonsense, and hope that at some point they'll realize the errors of their ways on their own terms and want to confide in you. Unfortunately, deradicalization takes orders of magnitude more time and energy than their initial radicalization, and they have to want it.

Yeah, but the "things" that you hope to get your way in this case are people and your relationships with them, and arguably that's worth a bit more. I have respect for the folks that put their effort into this. I just don't think that's my vocation. I don't have the patience or inclination for it.

He knew that was going on, so he made weapons for both sides (chaotic neutral), perfectly usable, but with subtle curses like "gotta take that extra swing" or "this girdle of strength will let me carry a little more through this swamp". Eventually the gods got wise, and gave them away.
Seeded them throughout various campaigns. Hilarious results!

@Hawaii get a non carrier phone. perhaps the nothing phone or a oneplus15. theres also a linux phone out there now

In quel di Novara si usava dire fin verso gli '80 "teròn magna savòn" per riferirsi ai meridionali che non si lavavano e che preferivano mangiarselo il sapone invece di utilizzarlo. Quindi, sporchi e ignoranti.
Mio padre opponeva a questi epiteti il fatto che lui al suo paese del sud aveva il bagno in casa, mentre gli appartamenti che davano in affitto ai terroni non ce l'avevano e lui i primi tempi era costretto ad andare ai bagni pubblici per lavarsi... 🤷

@fucinafibonacci @attualita tutte misure inutili, ricordo che Hobsbawm trattò nel Secolo breve l'argomento. Da quello che ricordo quando c'erano cali di natalità nessuna misura era in grado di cambiare le cose.
Sembra quasi che le popolazioni si autoregolino in base alla popolazione.
