@pellechristensen @aral Europe has been slowly colonized since WWII: bought with the Marshall Plan, enforced by military occupation( Germany, Denmark, Poland...) and cultural capitulation. Nowdays economic, energy and industrial EU policies are led by the US.

@aral tbh yesterday while cleaning and listening to a piece on the fur trade in what's now Canada, I thought "I just have no idea how it is to live in a society with recent experience of being colonised, and I shouldn't try to map the roles and conflicts that causes to my experience of how a society is structured"
