So, I get to build some ZFS file servers for $dayJorb. These will be hosting VM images. Does anyone have any thoughts on disk types and layout? I'm hoping for about 30 TB of usable space each. The last time I got to build this big, we did it with spinning rust because we were cost constrained. I am being lead to believe I have significant funding this time.

@kenobit grazie! Dà gusto, soprattutto quando senti di essere nel flow. Non è sempre una passeggiata, a volte una sessione si riduce all'inseguimento di qualcosa che poi sfugge e sulla pagina restano solo sgorbi. Ma nello sketchbook vale tutto. Anche perché nello sgorbio può nascondersi qualcosa di buono che viene fuori col tempo, se osservato con un occhio più "fresco".

For 10 years now, people from the Linux side tell me systemd is so much easier and "Unit-Files" are so much cleaner and better than init-scripts ...'nWell, I still don't get it.

Migrated my ZigBee2MQTT to BSD, of course running inside a Jail (and with IPv6!) 🙂 'nAll running perfectly fine and as stable as you'd expect from FreeBSD 'nPlus the rc
