New project! This time I'm recycling assets from 2 projects ago and ideas from 4 or 5. But this one I could turn into something playable, possibly finishable and, who knows, maybe even enjoyable (at least for me). Obvious inspirations are obvious, but I'm ok with that.

WIP of a second bike I'm making for this project. Well, technically a trike but whatever. Apparently I can't make bikes with a "normal" number of wheels, can I. This one won't be for the Player character though. Hope to have a usable temp model by tomorrow.

Worked a bit on Bike n°2! Not sure about the colour scheme just yet, but apparently red = bad guys so it'll be ok for temp assets. Touched up the character model too just so I have a model that isn't 100% identical to the Player. Which is also temporary but still. Next part will be rigging and animation, but that'll be for later.

And here's how it looks after a quick implementation. You probably can't tell from this because they look so smol and pixelated, but the turbines at the front and rear of the red bike rotate and everything 😅 Next step will be to let the Player whack 'em with that big hammer of theirs.

Made a bit of progress and you can now destroy enemy bikes. Good thing they can't move yet I guess, makes it easier to test collisions and things.

Tfw you can just play what you're making without having to manually reset stuff...
Basic spawn logic implemented, you can now just go round and whack bikes with a hammer for as long as you want/are able to (edited for length/size so Masto would let me post)

Made some progress with enemy behaviour! It can target the truck and try to avoid the Player to a degree (collisions will have to wait a bit) I like how this is starting to feel!

Once more, the time has come for rigging in Blender, which means that, once more, I'm looking up how to parent a mesh to a single bone that is part of an armature. For the umpteenth time. Certainly not the last either. Oh well.

Rigged the enemy bike! Went with a simple rig, compared to the Player's one-wheeled bike, as the animations should be a bit less complex. I wasn't sure about the death animation, so I made two. Also made a (probably temp) weapon for enemy units. It was either that or have them kick the truck when they get close enough ^_^" That'll let me reuse animations, at least for now.

Adjusted Hit and Death animations for the enemy bikes, still temporary but feels a bit better. Also, attack state is in place! They'd almost feel threatening, if not for the lack of actual collision from their bats. Mostly done with the basic states I think.
