I usually check https://status.mastodon.social/ when mastodon.social goes down, and invariably it says the site is all green even though it's quite obviously Not Fine. I wonder if they've optimized away the health checks.

@louischance no way I can get rid of it but I would. Too many friends, even business and institutions in Italy use it... and it's going worst day by day. I use mainly telegram, I have signal (a tiny amount of my friends have it, almost zero use).
