@ainmosni @_elena Wanted to do the switch, upgraded my NAS with extra ram but still didn’t work reliably 😞
So until I can change my NAS I will have to stick with plex.

@ainmosni @_elena Ram was instantly consumed while indexing. Added more ram, index ran but watching on the TV via Apple TV as sluggish and kept interrupting. Using infuse as client on the Apple TV.

@crisl_at @_elena The latter is probably because you didn't configure hardware decoding, assuming the NAS has that option.

@crisl_at @_elena I watch 4k/HDR content via my apple TV, I 100% need hardware transcoding to the point that when I designed my homelab server, I added an intel eGPU just to be sure.

@ainmosni @crisl_at my desktop computer is a beast (Mac Mini M4 with 48GB of RAM) and I wonder how transcoding will work out... sending stuff to my Apple TV... Should be fine I think
