And everyone from tech enthusiasts to Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey seem to want in.📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3ptZ1W-FRA#internet #history #openvsclosed #web #activitypub #mastodon #threads #video #yt #pixelfed #tumblr #wordpress

@ScienceDesk I use both hands, but I wouldn't call it ambidextrous. I'm kind of similarly clumsy with both hands. I write left-handed, and do most other things (play guitar, throw) right-handed. Precision things tend to get the left hand, strength things the right. And, I wouldn't say I'm particularly good at using either one. My handwriting is terrible and I can't draw for shit.

I find this remarkable:The Dresden Codex, one of the few surviving Mayan manuscripts, contains tables that give highly accurate timings of solar eclipses over more than 700 years, from 350 CE to the 12 century. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adt9039 #history #science #astronomy

Physicists discover strange spinning crystals that behave like living matterPhysicists have uncovered the fascinating world of “rotating crystals” — solids made of spinning particles that behave in strange, almost living ways. These odd materials can twist instead of stretch, shatter into fragments, and even reassemble themselves.https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/10/251021083635.htm #science
