@brianb @GetzlerChem If you're looking for chem & art examples (not an artist in residence) @kristinHenry is a great source, a lot of her stuff is based on iterations of chemical ideas (some of how she generates patterns might be more applicable to your programming class than your chemistry one however).

Edit: I've had lots of wonderful people impart their knowledge and spark curiosity about science. This is all still very new to me but we're learning and that's good! Hello chemists and physicists of Mastodon! In my next assignment I have to create a 3D image of a molecule (which I've done) and then I have to label this molecule where we might find H-bonding and London forces. Just one example of each.I think I understand H-bonding, but when it came to studying London forces I just hoped it wouldn't come up.Well. It has.I don't understand London forces at all so I have no idea how to even attempt to label a bond as a London force or not. Is it not all of the bonds? At the moment I just have to randomly guess...#AskFedi #Chemistry #Physics

I have a (slightly?) crazy idea for my second-year chemistry class next year. Instead of running labs on specific days, I want to prepare a year-long lab manual. Students would have a block of time in which to complete a specific number of labs. This does two things: makes my planning easier - I know lab days would _always_ be Tues/Thurs. I can also prep blocks of labs and not do so much day to day lab prep.Any HS #chemistry teachers doing anything like this? #teaching #askfedi
