@_elena @bookstardust @lefteristrip23 I left Pinterest for the same reason. Even with turning off AI, it was just disgusting. I used it to find patterns, home inspiration etc, but everything is slop now. Disgusting.

@sylvia @_elena @bookstardust @lefteristrip23 ArtStation, DeviantArt, Pinterest, and even more surprisingly Adobe Stock, are all filled with the same AI Slop now.
It's frustrating to need to look for the Hide AI toggle before every browse!

@_elena Sadly, yes. It's in the side panel on the results pages. Also, it defaults to showing GenAI... because of course it does. *blood boils*

@_elena @bookstardust @lefteristrip23 You can trust my work and photos. No AI crapola from my cameras. All photos created with practical effects and technique, just the way they God and Saint Kodak and Mother Mary Nikon did declare.

@_elena @andycarolan No need to feel guilty. It’s not AI as such that is evil, it’s what folks do with it or if they rely on AI w/o any doubt.
What you created is a great video with a good intend. Even if you used AI by intend it would not become a bad thing. -

@sylvia @bookstardust @lefteristrip23 I went back to Pinterest this morning just out of curiosity since tuning my feed and... they're using gen AI for photos of clothes too now? What's the point?!?!!!!!!! Pinterest = truly dead to me

And yes, I did lose my right to vote when I moved a couple of times, even as a resident+citizen of said location. That’s how our imperfect electoral system works. 😥

@evan I agree with @EricLawton -- "expatriate" is an imperial term. I see no confusion of terminology in his comment, quite the opposite.
In the context of the poll, "expatriate" was used about emigrants, not immigrants, but the point stands. The clearest term, if a bit long and pedantic, might have been "citizens who are not residents".

To lose my most basic right as a citizen because I happen to not live on a piece of soil, but on another one?Quite a strange way to see democracy, indeed. (see where my "landowner" reference is coming from)

@DavidBHimself The situation in country B is indeed not relevant (resident, citizen), but it is relevant that they are not living in country A because they live in B.
In other words, should A’s not residing citizens be allowed to vote in A? And I’m saying, no.
