@benroyce Voting will only help us if the opposition can win by a big enough margin that they can't contest it. It needs to be an absolute landslide. Unfortunately, Dems have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot any time they have the advantage. They've been running the same strategy (appeal to moderate Republicans, at the cost of alienating progressives) for 10 years, and lost to Trump twice.
I knew we were fucked when Biden barely won in 2020, and way too many liberals took a victory lap and went back to ignoring the conditions that gave us Trump in the first place.
You can't vote fascism away.

Then Gestapo started going door to door selling bullets and handcuffs, with a possible 2k additional bootlickers joining in. News flash, protest no longer works in this country, people need to get angrier. Gestapo has no fear. They don't. They'll catch you anywhere and they know you won't fight back.

Non-maga USians are still welcome because every dollar you spend outside the USA benefits the country you are visiting and removes a dollar from the US economy. Ideally you drop many dollars during your visit. This will change though if US forces invade a former ally. -

I was looking into buying abroad, but I think you can't bring it into the Netherlands then, which sounds challenging.

He may want to take a short term rental (generally more expensive, but lower upfront costs) and then search for longer term rental while in already in Italy, ideally accompanied by someone local. But hopefully the Fediverse has some leads 🤞

Spain is probably the best, they are more relaxed then NL, they or more open than NL they promote having a business.
Campervan road tax doubled this year, could be interesting to buy it abroad. But then you cannot really go on holiday in NL, although I am not sure how strict the checks are on this.
