@mcc In true hospital fashion, I observe they have redoomed the elevators by slapping a vinyl printout on top of the existing sign, which can still clearly be read to say "South Elevators".
(Insert uplifting life lesson about optimism in the face of adversity here.)
Also I note the previous sign offered directions to the main lobby, which the new one does not, also in the true hospital fashion of monotonically increasing difficulty of navigation.
