I started writing the first draft of my article about #WSocial and I'm finding so many gems.

@_elena Since you mentioned “gems”, are you aware of Eurosky? It looks like they are doing the exact same thing. However, hidden deep, deep in their about page, they mention future integration with ActivityPub. There's no "how" explanation there, but at least they mention it.

@vladcampos With the bridge? Eurosky, doesn't seem to be different from the other "Bluesky clones" (like Blacksky) so, the only way they can integrate ActivityPub seems to be with bridging, unless I'm missing something.

@vladcampos of course I will mention Eurosky. I feel bad for them because they went through careful preparations for MONTHS (see their website: https://www.eurosky.tech) and then the W Social people swept in unannounced (they only registered their site in Sep 2025) and stole all the limelight from them... even if they are utterly unprepared, they only have a Bluesky PDS. I'm honestly horrified

@_elena It's crazy. One thing I would love to understand is why all these initiatives are based on the ATProto. There are some things that I see as better implementations there, for example, the domain name as a username. But I don't see any explanation on the websites, even technical ones, that clarifies why these people are not choosing ActivityPub.
