@salvadorbs@francommit Da oltre 10 anni ho una HP Laserjet di rete, non so come funziona con Windows, però con Linux è uno schifo: posso stampare da più stanze, ma poi devo alzarmi a prendere i fogli eccheccavolo... E non parliamo del caffè, per farlo devo farlo a mano con una macchina espresso dedicata, non c'è verso di configurare hplip plugin per farlo fare alla stampante
@evan no, not at all. But, people need money to live, do things, make things happen. Not much but some. This is the dilemma of the hippies, punks, ravers, any alt culture. Alt tech is the same.

The fact that the verification UIs are often closed source clients published by the same corporation that makes the server software makes them kind of security theater. The software maker could just hide the secret server keys from the verification UI. I think it's a more robust protection in a multiplayer ecosystem, where clients and servers are written and operated by different entities.
