@lisyarus Neat hack from the 90s: you can just use 4-8 bitmaps that don't rotate. Nobody will notice. When you get close enough to swap to a mesh, rotate the mesh to match the bitmap!

eee my copy of ï½¢The Astronomical Almanac 2025ï½£ arrived in the mail today while I was at work :D my hell spine hurts too much to be fussing with it tonight, but from flipping through it, it looks like it explains most of the information I've been missing and provides ample data to validate against <3
