this is a violation of GDPR ("accept cookies or subscribe to our publication"), EU regulators explicitly found that Meta is not allowed to do this, but every newspaper in the EU does it. GDPR is simply not enforced (unless you're a school with kids going on a field trip, then you better believe you need to sign a whole-ass contract)

@stefano good usecase for general purpose. for what i do i need more ram for my works. i did setup mastodon+caddy in jails on one and it didn't really tax it at all.
you may see it in your client work, but i all too often see clients pouring cash on the fastest/latest to future proof. most of the time their existing systems barely hit 30% capacity. they want headroom so i show them optics over time and shift their money to more meaningful initiatives. ive found it helps with credibility and to maintain the relationship. people remember good solutions and cost stewardship

I'm still writing my 'memoirs' of EuroBSDCon 2025. It's difficult to move forward because the emotions are strong. Computer science has always been my passion, and being among fantastic people like those I meet at the BSD Conferences is always something incredible. And, like all impactful experiences, you often need a little time to avoid sounding like those TV hucksters who are just trying to sell or convince.
Because true, genuine feelings deserve the right importance, in a world increasingly made up of appearances.
