I'm willing to drop my GMail account.
What I need is an imap access, no app lock-in, and a good privacy policy, preferably with server located in the EU.I am evaluating @soverin and @eclipso so far, with the latter lokking a bit more feature full but suspiciously less pricy.
Do you have any experience with any of those services? Have you any suggestion about them or other services I may look into?

@plaimbock unfortunately they both require their app to access the mailbox. I've actually tried both but they don't fit my needs, although they're very good services!

I checked and I found out that there's now at least a bridge for ProtonMail, which could make it interesting. I'll check out the remaining features! Thanks! -

@soverin @eclipso @racchio I'm currently looking also an email and calendar provider, must be able use external mail and calendar apps. I'm probably landing on https://mailbox.org/en/ . Just found also https://posteo.de/en , which looks promising.

It's such a critical service that I don't trust my own abilities to handle it (I may try, but I still need a 99.99% trustworthy service)
