I'm willing to drop my GMail account.
What I need is an imap access, no app lock-in, and a good privacy policy, preferably with server located in the EU.I am evaluating @soverin and @eclipso so far, with the latter lokking a bit more feature full but suspiciously less pricy.
Do you have any experience with any of those services? Have you any suggestion about them or other services I may look into?

@plaimbock unfortunately they both require their app to access the mailbox. I've actually tried both but they don't fit my needs, although they're very good services!

I checked and I found out that there's now at least a bridge for ProtonMail, which could make it interesting. I'll check out the remaining features! Thanks! -

@soverin @eclipso @racchio I'm currently looking also an email and calendar provider, must be able use external mail and calendar apps. I'm probably landing on https://mailbox.org/en/ . Just found also https://posteo.de/en , which looks promising.

European based, no lock-in, enough storage space, privacy, nice pricing... Seems to tick all boxes.

It's such a critical service that I don't trust my own abilities to handle it (I may try, but I still need a 99.99% trustworthy service)

Mastodon has no current capability to undelete a status (it assumed perma deletion and ignores future activities to protect from replay attacks) @claire@social.sitedethib.com noted that the Mastodon team would be interested in updating this behaviour as there is desire to undo moderation actions She has signalled intent that Update(Note) is preferred We need to open an issue on the Mastodon issue tracker

Ma il “dopo” è il vero problema. Anche supponendo di aver risolto il problema del mantenimento (trovare come campare fuori dalla macina del lavoro salariale, per capirci), è lí che intervengono tutte le questioni psicoemotive, a partire dall'effimerità (relativa alla tua vita) degli affetti che per altri potrebbero essere “eterni” (“finché morte non vi separi”).

Dico “interessante” perché molte delle questioni sollevate sul modo in cui l'immortalità potrebbe influenzare il comportamento della persona decadono, soprattutto nella prima parte della tua vita. Se non sai fino a che punto sei immortale, penso che non correresti piú rischi di quanti ne correresti normalmente, e continueresti a cercare di vivere la tua vita come chiunque altro, magari con un occhio di riguardo in piú sul “dopo”.
