@stephanie oh France did that too. Big announcement by Macron that they were putting aside €500 million to attract US scientists, especially in climate, much quieter announcement of 2€ billion cut in research funding.
To say we are governed by donkeys is an insult to donkeys.

@stephanie I am absolutely livid at how they whine and squeal about how China is overtaking “the west” in science. Well yes they’re 1.5 billion people that have been investing in science consistently for 25 years, what did they think was going to happen? The misplaced superiority of these people, they deserve slaps.
