Today, this instance turns two.Originally created as a temporary setup to experiment with #snac, I later decided to keep it online. For about a year now, it’s been my most 'private', less technical corner. And I couldn’t be happier: it runs in a #FreeBSD jail, uses almost zero resources, and is always ready to serve me.Happy birthday, FediHome!#FediVersary #Anniversary #Birthday #snac2 #Fediverse

Pssst! BoxyConnect comes soon to @BoxyBSD! BoxyConnect allows you to create a private network / private link between multiple boxes at BoxyBSD. And the best? You can even create this over different locations/countries to provide you more flexibility. You can simply assign any RFC1918 addresses on your new additional network interface on both sites and communicate in your own private network - even miles away. This feature is currently in beta and will hopefully be available to everyone (just like all other services of course for free). Enjoy #RUNBSD! This new feature is powered by @gyptazy! #BoxyBSD #FreeBSD #NetBSD #OpenBSD #DragonflyBSD #MidnightBSD #SmolBSD #Hosting #SelfHosting #Provider #BSD #FreeVPS #VPS #opensource #community #education #openeducation

Well, I have replaced the screen of my wife's Lenovo Yoga and got back my trusty T480s.I used the opportunity to install #FreeBSD 14.3, I speedran the XOrg part by using @vermaden X11 Window system article, for the rest, I just replicated my linux application stack, less than 1 hour.Still to validate:- WiFi speed (actually 2.7MB/s), not sure if I benefit from the latest works.- battery life- suspend/resumeResponsiveness, 2D, 3D, video: flawless.
