I've been expecting that we'd see attacks on Wikipedia and Bluesky this year from Trump and co, since those seem the "big targets" to go after.

It's a bullshit case, but bullshit cases can do a lot of damage these days.
I've been expecting that we'd see attacks on Wikipedia and Bluesky this year from Trump and co, since those seem the "big targets" to go after.
This may sound like I'm snarking on Bluesky again with this one; I'm not (and I certainly wouldn't snark on Wikipedia). I hope I am wrong about this, it's really that most of the rest of traditional media and the old social media companies have been captured.

Simultaneously, I believe:
- If the Trump administration goes after Bluesky, this is a case where we clearly side with Bluesky. It doesn't help anyone to be under attack like that.
- It's also a motivating reason to make Bluesky not depend on one corporation sooner than later, and encourage such designs generally, wherever possible. -
