@pitrh With how easy it is to renumber within one, I would genuinely expect that to go down another a ways if you group per IPv6 /64 (which is really more akin to an IPv4 /32 in today's environment anyway).

@nuintari@bsd.cafe @relay@fedi-relay.gyptazy.com @stefano@bsd.cafe Depends… they’re low because hard and time consuming to scan. On ranges where hosts staticly Increment, they may occur. It’s currently 0.8% for ssh which is really low, but I guess most ones would assume 0%

An ocean scientist I know lost her federal government job this week. Canada should be scooping up American scientists left and right, not firing our scientists!! She works on carbon observation in the ocean, which is, you know, really fucking important. Everyone else who works on it on the west coast also got cut
Maybe a good time to reach out to your MPs and ask how the fuck we're supposed to be a world leader or whatever if federal scientists are fired and univerities are all drowning?
