I actually had to think hard about whether there really are fewer than 25 š -
@evan 1 pair of barn boots. 1 pair of hiking boots. 1 pair of slip on Chelsea boots. 1 pair of walking shoes. 2 pair of slippers (one for home and one for going to other people's homes). And a dozen old shoes in the basement because "I may need them to use in the garden at some point & I hate throwing things away if there is some use to them." š š
At first I thought the 6-25 option was unusual... but I don't after taking inventory. I have 6 shoes on active duty, & about 4-6 pairs on stand-by.

@evan limited numbers of shoes. A lot more if I start counting other footwear, boots, skates, etc

I would go through a lot of TPU to keep myself custom orthic insoles for more than about 5 pairs.

@evan I'm not 100% sure I'm at less than 25. I'm pretty sure I'm double digits in docs alone. But some are hard to access due to their location in the large closet so.. out of sight, out of mind.

I always seem to wear the same SAS work shoes, but I do have some other, virtually unused shoes, including formal dress shoes, off-brand not-Croc plastic sandles, and some duck boots.

About three years ago our beloved kitty Jasper started losing weight. Over the next year he'd shed about a third of his body weight and had a bunch of intestinal issues.
After a biopsy we discovered he had intestinal lymphoma and he was prescribed steroids and chemotherapy. Not long after, he'd gained nearly all his weight and energy back.
He still gets regular checkups every 3-4 months but I'm so grateful that he's doing so well. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
