If it's just going there for breakfast, *and* it's a serious one (full buffet or brunch-style menu) then OK, expensive but I can see it.

@Gina Again, if you're a guest that should come with the room, no charge. And it's a rip-off if they only serve drinks, toast and eggs.

But if what you pay for is a full breakfast buffet, it fair enough, whether you make use of the buffet or not.

With that said, we rarely eat hotel breakfasts when we travel these days. It's usually more fun to go to a cafe instead.

Once stayed at a hotel like this. Ended up ordering a burger and sides through Glovo instead.

Though it is absurdly expensive, I find 28 euros to be a somewhat better deal because it spares me the hassle of searching for restaurants or going to supermarkets—instead, just show up and eat.

@jorijn @Gina really depends on what they offer. I had 20EUR breakfast and it was basically standard bread, cheese, ham, and 2 types of cereals with no milk alternatives.

For that money i'd rather go to a local bakery 😬
