AUTHOR FRIENDS: the searchable claims database is up! Make sure you check for your works (and check misspellings of your names, titles, etc, the database is a mess).

If a publisher makes a claim for a work included in the settlement, but the authorās address is unknown, the publisher gets to keep 100% of the payment for that work. So publishers have a financial incentive not to provide authorsā addresses..."

@susankayequinn @ehasbrouck Seems like the simple solution is for writers to send their address to the publisher, noting explicitly in the letter that it is for the express purpose of receiving the settlement. If the publisher then keeps the money, it is embezzlement.

Un funzionario della polizia di frontiera si ĆØ presentato in tribunale con abiti ispirati alla Gestapo, alzando il braccio davanti alle telecamere.

Il cappio evoca secoli di linciaggi, soprattutto contro la popolazione nera. La sua normalizzazione si intreccia con la linea dura anti-immigrazione e con lāattacco ai programmi di diversitĆ e inclusione nelle scuole e nella ricerca.

Trump stesso ha fatto della violenza parte del proprio linguaggio politico. Dalle incitazioni alla folla del 6 gennaio ai video in cui si richiama il termine āReich unificatoā, fino alla retorica contro migranti, afroamericani, oppositori politici.

Il tentativo di ridimensionare simboli come cappio e svastica non ĆØ un episodio isolato. Si affianca al crescente incoraggiamento alla violenza politica, ai messaggi contro minoranze, ai canali Telegram dove giovani funzionari repubblicani condividono retoriche suprematiste e filo-naziste.
