Nice to be home and out on the fat bike. The guys got out with groomer last night before the freeze and it set up nicely!Setup action cam under back seat for a different perspective. I may be imagining it, but elevation changes seem more obvious from this angle/direction. https://youtu.be/EM98tufS7X8#BikeTooter #FatBiking #NHwx

Having done a few rides with DJI action cam my main complaint is buttons. I realize there's trade-offs for action, but man the power button is a bear. Hard to press and performs multiple actions: long press for power, quick press to change mode. Hello, I'm wearing winter gloves! 🙄But that's not why I'm here, at least directly, did you know they have an SDK? They use it in their little camera remote. Here's their demo code to get an ESP32-C6 to control the camera over BLE (low power bluetooth). One could make their OWN buttons! https://github.com/dji-sdk/Osmo-GPS-Controller-DemoThere's a number of projects on github, including this little remote someone made to control DJI with motion sensor: https://youtu.be/t92D7x2sBuA#electronics #SDK #actionCamera #BikeTooter

Not having ridden behind myself before I now realize that the pants pocket metal rivets look like somebody put googly eyes on my butt!

Tonight's cycling excitement:Ripping along the bikepath at a decent pace (30+km/h) in the dark when all of a sudden there's a clunk and a great rawr from the back wheel and I see sparks getting flown forward past me.I stopped and jumped off very quickly.... and noticed the bike was not in fact on fire or any such thing.Investigate with torch...The chunky plastic reflector attached to one of the spokes had broken free and lodged itself crosswise near the hub; so for the few brief seconds it took me to react and stop it was getting thrashed against the frame with bits flying off it and getting brightly reflected in my headlight.Pulled the reflector loose and chucked it in my handlebar bag, then continued on as usual.Further inspection shows no actual damage (besides the reflector), but faaark, that frightened me when it happened.#BikeTooter
