@jerzone this is actually a thing in motorcycle communities - because the weight of a fully loaded bike can cause issues on soft pavement (either a heavy bike or ashfelt made soft by the weather and sun, or both). the standard advice is to root around in the trash and find a squashed can to put under your kickstand to spread the loadmight be funny to model a crumpled can and print it out as a kickstand helper ​

We didn't get the 2" they forecasted last night (maybe 1/2") but the snow is picking up again. The last week melted away all but the deepest snow in the yard while our fat biking trails are a wide mix of frozen snow, ice sheets, mud, running water, and frozen dirt. If variety is the spice of life, then it's pretty spicy!#NHwx #BikeTooter

65°F (18C) so I went for an easy shakeout ride with the gravel bike. That phrase, "rode hard and put up wet" (I think it's about horse saddles) described the gravel bike's chain ... could have sworn it was all cleaned and oiled at the end of last season. Splash of water and some grimacing, it soon rotated properly and away we go. Rail trail, left half snow for skiers in winter right side for everyone else, was thawing fast and soggy. Not as wet as the roads I took on the way back.#BikeTooter #NHwx

@jerzone we have had rain and melting temps for a week now. Trails are gone, just slush. Waiting for freezing temps so I can go and ride anywhere and everywhere.

@jerzone That all sounds wonderful. So great to have such large networks of trails regularly groomed like that.

Nice to be home and out on the fat bike. The guys got out with groomer last night before the freeze and it set up nicely!Setup action cam under back seat for a different perspective.
