Saw this last week in Boston, along with little video of it in action. Rather than self-balancing electronics this bike share concept angles the back wheels out so it can drive to you, then when person is ready the wheels straighten up and lock back into place. I don't think it will pick itself up after a renter unceremoniously dumps it on the sidewalk. #BikeTooter #electronics #engineering

Drove to Alewife station outside Boston and biked to hotel while the rest of family took subway. It was 23F(-5C) with a windchill of 4, didn’t see a lot of bikers out. I got a chance to ride the Somerville Community Path to the Science Museum, then along the Dr. Paul Dudley White Bike path on the Charles. Even the roads I biked had decent bike lanes and signage.#BikeTooter #Boston

It was sorta warming up when I headed out for this morning's bike ride, 10°F (-12C) and no wind. But either blood thinned out or gloves were damp, because I was stopping every ten minutes to try and get life back into the fingers. Another inch of snow last night and mine were the first tire tracks. Looked like a Coyote had taken a liking to the single track, I was following their footsteps for quite a while.#BikeTooter #NHwx

@blogdiva @iFixit @sewingI don't know where you live, but here in Britain we have a relatively new phenomenon called a 'Repair Cafe' where capable, talented volunteers try to fix whatever - electrical, electronic, textile, mechanical, etc... is brought to them. I do a bit of woodwork, and have recently repaired a high chair and a guitar (which gave ME a thrill to fix) which had a broken neck.

Not having ridden behind myself before I now realize that the pants pocket metal rivets look like somebody put googly eyes on my butt!

A lot of steps (half steps) are needed to get a decent line on top of granite spines. I rode this yesterday before the fresh snow and the lines were a mess, took a few passes to clean it all up. Sometimes I'll make a B line, sometimes they're on their own. #FatBiking #BikeTooter

Under the tree canopy it was easy to ride and pack the trail. Open areas were quite a bit deeper, requiring focus and lots of blood, at least according to the Heart rate analysis. Really pretty out and I had it all to myself.#BikeTooter #FatBiking #NHwx
