I have finished my tentacle monster!It ended up having 30 legs because I calculated I didn't have enough yarn to make 42 legs (and because my hands were tired).I bound the legs together in the middle with basic whipping, with the same yarn.Eyes? Tentacle monsters don't have to have eyes. Yes, it may look like a demented pom-pom, but if you toss it in the air, it definitely writhes like a tentacle monster.(Apologies for the slightly blurry photos, I was too impatient to wait for daylight to photograph it.)@crochet #crochet

Spent a quiet afternoon working on my second #crochet #wip of 2026. This yarn is from a granny square blanket I crocheted about 15 years ago. It needed repairs, and I eventually unraveled everything in frustration! After a few false starts, I've decided to stick with the granny square style clusters but crocheted on the diagonal.

Ça a commencé un peu au hasard, au tout début de l'année. Le 2 janvier j'accompagne mon frère et une amie dans différentes enseignes. J'avais décidé de passer plus de temps en 2026 à faire des choses plutôt qu'à consommer les créations des autres. Dans l'une des enseignes, plein de petits potentiels créatifs sont présents, je m'empare d'un kit #crochet à 3€, simple.C'était pas simple, il n'y avait pas vraiment d'instructions pour réaliser ce qui était indiqué comme étant un "soleil".

With all the absolute insanity, sharing and seeing others share their works is certainly one of the bright spots of my online time. With that...First crochet project of the year is nearing the finish line. Two of these (the white one and the donut shaped one) resemble traditional Christmas biscuits in my family!The plan was to make more of the traditional ones, but I couldn't find any patterns for them and coming up with my own took long enough for the two I've made 😆 so that's for next year maybe possibly.

@silhelm @kerravonsen +1 on just sewing across the end of the zipper to keep it closed, while looking at the one metal clamp you're bought to try and saying “naaa, next time“ (it's what one has to do with zippers that are sold by the meter)it doesn't work with zippers that can open completely like those for jackets, of course
