The Fediverse's real strength is participatory structure: any one server can fail and the network keeps running. But it isn't decentralized enough to survive the threats coming for it, including age-verification laws rooted in anti-queer politics, hardware-level lockdown of what you can run on your own computer, and data-centre concentration that turns information infrastructure into a kill switch. The answer is to push further: content-addressed messaging, peer-to-peer chat with no host to subpoena, and technology built around joy and empowerment rather than defensive compliance. @rolle This is why I’m on the Fediverse, bridging with BlueSky. Because I’d be happy to federate with them, if they’d open up as standard. But they don’t. They want to keep to themselves unless someone explicitly says they want to bridge to Fediverse. That’s the reason I don’t really trust BlueSky. Did you see the European PDS, EuroSky?

I blocked the `threads.net` server as an admin of this server because I recently quit Meta. This is also to free myself from Meta's influence. Additionally, there are many media reports about Meta's misuse of minors' pictures as part of their targeted advertising campaigns.
