@rebecaarce Yes. Although it’s not native, it’s everywhere. At least it’s not the kind of plant that tries to crowd out all the other plants.

@donray Compare with this Western Tiger Swallowtail on a butterfly bush (Buddleia davidii) this morning. This butterfly is rather shaggy looking and possibly a senior citizen as short-lived butterflies go.#Butterflies #Flowers #Flores #WesternWashington

#Flowers #Fruit #Pollinators #IowaTwo pear trees are bravely blossoming during this cool and windy week. Today, with sunshine and 57° F (14° C), I saw some pollinators, including the little wasp/ant-looking thing in the center of the photo.

@capnthommo They definitely are fine birds. We're lucky to have them year round. The male is about the brightest-colored bird we have. But the female's color scheme is probably my favorite.
