I mean I've my own #Snac instance but using the bsd.cafe instance hashtag search it doesn't show my tagged toot where it always used too.

@justine no, it's not blocked at all, but I confirm I can't see your toots when searching for the hashtag. I'll investigate.

Right now I'm wondering whether my toots with the hashtag #FreeBSD are blocked on the #BSDCafe Mastodon instance as looking at this search of the tag does not show my toot ????

@justine Could just be shoddy snac federation, apparently user actions that need to federate just get sent to *every* instance on your snac's peerlist. Probably won't be the fastest way to get things federated on a lower end VPS

Nothing has changed config wise apart from #Snac updates.

Yes thank you this does help as it proves that my toot is searchable by hashtag . Strange how it does not show on the bsd.cafe all of a sudden.

It's almost certainly not personal. It looks like some indexing is not happening properly.
Check out the #MeerMittwoch hashtag on the same node, for example. It claims 2 posts today, and yet lists the most recent post under the hashtag as having happened back on the 7th.

@justine mmm let me think...oh, maybe I understand why. I modified the "show other instances' timelines to unlogged users" to "no". This probably broke this behaviour. I tried to revert the change. Could you please test it now?

Leaving for Brussels tomorrow, a day later than planned due to circumstances. I'll miss half of Fosdem PGDay, but I'll be in time for the main event. I'll go by car, as soon as traffic allows.. Normally a 75 minute drive from here.
