@aburka @Vivaldi Mozilla Corp. has a new CEO. Just to whittle it down, he says Firefox is trusted and users will have an easy option to turn AI off.
How about "easy option to turn it ON", as others have pointed out.
Trust? Some of us have been with this browser since Netscape, what a toxic relationship it has been of late.

@Vivaldi sorry but you're not open source, so if you change your goals and decide to include AI, there won't be any possibility to fork from your project to keep an AI-free browser.
And your users would be in the same situation as users from other browsers.

@joren These options are opt-in. You get a 'bare' browser until you activate these.

@david_chisnall just to temper the Discourse hate in this thread (but not deny your experience), I absolutely love it... it's lovely to maintain, prevents spam better than anything I've ever maintained including other forum software and mailing lists, and doesn't fill my mailbox (though it can, it has excellent mail support both in and out).
What would make it work better for you? I'm not a contributor, but I have written custom stuff for the one I maintain...I may have suggestions.

@david_chisnall i’m not sure of the solution, but I’ve seen this happen with several projects, and I agree that discourse is an abominable piece of software that is ruining communities.

C'è dissenso tra i rossobruni, ma i rossobruni alla fine sono sempre stati sfruttati dai dittatori e poi abbandonati una volta saliti al potere e sostenuti dai poteri economici
E vedere in questo episodio una possibile rinascita democratica ad oggi è solo una vana (e pericolosa) speranza
