Teacher: "But what about our energy, what makes us 'us'? Where does that go?"

Me: "What units are you measuring this energy in? How are you measuring it?"

Student, deadpan: "Ghost energy is obviously measured in Ghouls."

No notes, perfect, told student they should write next Ghostbusters film.

I vaguely think I remember the people doing that...

I did a whole proposal for an emotional resonance thing to create updated stimulus for Psi identification, using icons which had cross cultural impact yada yada and basically got told I was being too picky and sciencey

So I went elsewhere. But I kept the acceptance letter because it amused me.
