Since the influx of Blue Sky and Twitter users, Mastodon Dot Social had unfortunately — but temporarily — experienced a few Nazi accounts, all of which have since been removed. However, a few individuals are now wrongfully claiming that the Fediverse is no different, simply because a few bad individuals managed to make it here. What they’re choosing to ignore is the key difference: those accounts were dealt with and rightfully removed. The fact that they weren’t caught immediately does not support the implications being made. 🙄Haters are going to hate. 🤷#Fediverse #ActivityPub #Mastodon #BlueSky #Twitter #Nazis

@HausAmWestbahnhof My blog has been federated for years, and not only do I still have a Mastodon account, which is what I use primarily, but I also continue to use my Friendica account, which I use to write structured and formatted texts that I don't publish on the blog, long replies to accounts I follow, and also to automatically reshare my blog posts.A federated blog used in conjunction with a Mastodon account is like a camper used in conjunction with a scooter: with the former, you can take your home around the world; with the latter, you use it to get around town or to a village festival. And a Friendica account has the same advantage. Except that instead of being a scooter, it's like a dirt bike (amphibious. With a small tent on top 🤣): a little less agile than a scooter, but very versatile.@pfefferle

@fox @Edent I have four I2P instances in my peer list. At least two of them are still active.

Experimental support for multiple users landed with Ktistec release v2.4.15. "Experimental" means that it works for me, but hasn't seen enough testing for me to call it "ready for production". With that said, it's unlikely you'll lose your data. There are lots of intentional design decisions that fit my vision for Ktistec but may surprise you. Here they are:Every user is an administrator. That doesn't mean users have access to each other's posts and data, but it does mean all users have access to the shared parts of the site—they can change the site description, for example—and they can add new users. So only add people you trust. If you want to add another user, create an account for them and give them their username and password.  There is no self-registration. There are no invitations.Beyond adding a user, there is no support for user management. You can't even boot a user from your site. Users can delete themselves, however. There is no support for content moderation. Only add people you trust.TL;DR Multi-user support in Ktistec is suitable for small teams, families (biological or chosen), and your personal avatars. There are better tools for online communities. Here's the full set of changes:AddedAdd support for multiple user accounts.FixedHide attachments behind the summary.
