If SQL is pronounced "sequel" then surely DNS is pronounced "Dennis"?
-
@robinadams @bloor I started out calling it "My Squirrel" before I'd ever heard anyone say "sequel," and that is how it will forever be in my head.
"I have to run a squirrel query."
"I'm having trouble running a join on these squirrel tables."
It's objectively better this way.
It is good however to have a thing when you want to squirrel things away and hide your nuts.
Of course there is the original dataabase...
It's called a hard drive and file system.

If SQL is pronounced "sequel" then surely DNS is pronounced "Dennis"?
@bloor The best part about this situation is how one pronounces SQL tells on which database was the first one you were exposed to because the vendors disagree.
