@evan I'm not participating in this poll because it doesn't serve the end of the genocide and accountability for all participants, accomplices, and complicit bystanders. A ceasefire is a distraction that serves spineless political leaders while hundreds of ships are sailing to Gaza. Obviously I'm in favor of less civilian deaths, but this is just a delay being framed to benefit those who are complicit! I SUPPORT AN END TO THE GENOCIDE, ANYTHING LESS AND WE SHOULD ALL STILL BE FURIOUS, WE SHOULD STILL BE STRIKING AND PROTESTING! Anything less than an immediate single state solution with reparations and land back is injustice. Each day the palestinians aren't given justice IS ANOTHER INJUSTICE! Thanks for reading.

@cakemonster I don't understand your point. It sounds like you don't support the deal.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I am a Yes, but. I think any respite in the fighting and food aid is good. The only way to get to some semblance of livable conditions in Gaza is to stop the bombs and open the roads to aid.

But, I do not think the Kahanist wing of the Israeli government, either in their own Kach-successor parties or in Likud, will let go easily of their dream of eradicating Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank. Continued international pressure will be hard, as European and North American powers turn to other projects. And I have no idea what domestic opposition, if any, will come to bear once the hostages are home.

I think keeping all eyes on Gaza will be critical.
