I've been building an RSS reader for the past year. No unread counts, no inbox to clear. Just a river that flows at its own pace.
Today it's live on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I wrote about everything that went into it.
@tg Instant buy! I appreciate the Miniflux support! I’d love an option to show feed favicons in River so I can quickly and visually discern which feed an article came from.

@tg This sounds really interesting, but I wasn’t sure about switching readers … then I saw it supports Feedbin, which is what I already use. Okay, sold.

@tg this is delightful! I’m enjoying reading all your decisions and rationale, and look forward to trying it out.
One thing I wonder if you have thoughts about: Why is so much of the interface at the top of the screen? In the era of Tall Phones, I find myself increasingly resentful of ever having to reach all the way up. Especially for common actions like back and close. Have you considered putting the Currents at the bottom of the screen? I intuit that I’d use them more naturally that way! 😄
@splendorr I played around with this a /lot/ and it just could not get it to feel right. I'll keep tinkering and hopefully figure it out and then offer a toggle in settings to let you pick where things go.

@tg This reader looks beautiful, and the concept sounds well thought out. Though I’m not sure it would work for me. Some sort of demo mode before purchase would be welcomed.
@jxrxme i'd have to make it free with an in app purchase and that has /always/ felt like a bait and switch to me. I'll look into other possibilities ...

@tg oh, sweet! we've been having problems trying to find a good podcatcher for us, especially one that's on, y'know, everything.
a note for that: i do love seeing show notes (i listen to friends at the table, an actual play that writes connected fiction in the show notes frequently), so sort of option to surface them easily/by default would be neat :3

All of those craft and art supplies are *constantly* in use, or I will use them again *soon*!
(to be fair, I do tend to go back to do stuff I had done in the past, but “soon” is probably not the right word, except from a geological point of view)

ZFS can display I/O statistics for a given pool using the iostat subcommand.
By default, it will display one line of current activity. To display stats
every 5 seconds run the following command (cancel with CTRL+C):zpool iostat 5
To view individual disk activities, specify the -v parameter:
zpool iostat -v
Of course, both can be combined. For more options, see zpool(8).
