The Civil Rights Division, who has holistically had the job of investigating dirty cops after they murder someone, refused to take the case.
When long time prosecutors offered to fly out to investigate the crime scene they were TURNED AWAY.
The person in charge of the case is Harmeet Dhillon. She was Trump's 2020 campaign legal advisor while he claimed voter fraud. Now a head of Civil Rights @ DOJ
Important to note, many communities across the country are seeing a surge in ICE+CBP activity.
Notably new ICE tactics being talked about in West Virginia where ICE is working with local and state cops to setup at what look like DUI check points only to harass people about their status.
There's also rumors of ICE using toll booths in WVa to check plates to search for vulnerable people to target quite literally down the road.

ICE also attempted to murder Marimar Martinez, a US citizen who was shot 5 times but survived.
The feds sued Martinez for assault but the case got dropped once video came out.

So thats 3 degrees of separation, just from the Minneapolis ICE surge let alone the local friends who have directly been hassled by ICE.
Show me a room of Americans and I several will know of a friend, a neighbor or work college whose had a loved one hassled by ICE or snatched.
This is much more than Minnesota sadly.

Throughout all of the weekend and Monday ICE continued to threaten to shoot observers and in several cases violently detained peaceful observers of their operations like Sue below.
Violently arresting a 55yr white lady named Sue at 6am is probably not the best idea if keeping the average American pacified were the goal.
The cops did shit like this in countless cities in 2020 and arresting someones grandma sure didn't help back then.
